This is a software suggestion, which I hope HP company will listen and develop, which I felt was missing for such an advanced and professional work laptop.
All other companies like ASUS and LENOVO have a BIOS battery optimization, calibrationi, life extender software, like LENOVO Power Manager. Not only it calibrates the battery, it also keeps the battery level at 60% even when it's charging, for extended use and battery life. A battery kept at that level of charge lasts longer, compared to a battery that stays full level or empty. I'm sure there are many other tricks that can be implemented.
I'm also sure a lot of people would appreciate such a software, which will extend their battery life. I really miss such a software to be honest now that I'm using HP.
Kindly,
ALks
It appears that you went into the Device Manager instead of the Control Panel.
In the Control Panel, look for a Synaptics Clickpad topic. Click on it.
There should be settings in the properties window that opens that you can change, including the ability to turn of clicking.
Thanks for this help.
does hp omen notebook 15-5010nr not supported Omen Command Center
Last message was deleted :/ Workaround to stop freezing. Device Manager - Display Adaptors - AMD Radeon Vega 8 Mobile Graphics - Driver - Disable Device. I was having the same issue as you however this has stopped the freezing/crashing so far.
Hi:
I had attached the file on my post on the discussion you referenced.
I have attached it for you, below.
You have to add the file to a DOS bootable disk.
I highly doubt this utility will work on a newer notebook such as yours.
The attachment is right above the blue Reply button.
Thanks for the fast respond...
I am already one step further. I searched for something and then found what I was looking for.
- ...
- HPBC280.EXE
- HPBFL220.EXE
- HPBFO300.EXE
- HPBI103.EXE
- HPBI133.EXE
- HPBQ142.EXE
- HPBQ193.EXE
- HPBW066.EXE
- HPSET14B.EXE
- ...
I tried to use the HPBQ138.exe. Unfortunately, this did not work. I then searched for newer versions and found. I then tried all. One then has HPBQ193.exe.
Then I have all information displayed in the EEPROM. What stands for "Asset Tag" is also in all other fields. I have completed the mistakes.
I do not know the values for:
- CTO Localization Code
- Asset Tag
- MotherBoard#
- H/W Config.#
I have opened a support ticket with HP...
What happened?
I started the notebook and received this error:
"Product Information Not Valid
The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid.
SYSTEM BOARD (00A)
Product Name
Product Serial Number
Product SKU
Product Family
System Board CT Number
ENTER - Continue Setup
For more information, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup"
Then I tried everything possible what is on the HP side. I have read in various forums, etc. found nothing. ...
A small supplement
I'm using the second option just like in the picture you attach in your answer.
Erase all disk and partition automatically.
wrote: You are welcome!
How about doing the very standard installation the first time and choosing Erase disk instead of making partitions manually ?
Recently When I am power up my Notebook it's display blinking for 1 or 2 sec is that a problem?
And sometimes it shows CMOS Reset
Hi,
I tried as you have mentioned. But it's not working.
Please help me out.
I think I had the same issue last night after buying a used Omen - the "install" would slowly progress for nearly 2 hours with fan at full speed and then "succeed" but bios wasn't actually updated
Fortunately your BIOS is 2/3 there :) You need to go into hardware diagnostics (esc / f2) and then go to firmware menu and "upgrade firmware". It will show the newer version you attempted earlier pre-populated and so just go ahead and flash from there. From that menu the install happened in < 30 seconds instead of hours. If this isn't an option, try creating the USB flash option from a newer bios download and leave that inserted into the left side USB port. I had the USB in, but don't think it was necessary (it was 1 am so I didn't pay exact attention)
Afterwards, download the latest bios and install it since there is a newer rev from the time you posted
I do not have a restore point.
Try installing from USB (created with bios exe) and then use Esc / F2 hardware diagnostics to install. I spent 4 hours last night with BIOS "installing" for 2 hours at a time and then not actually saving anything. Going the alternate route worked as expected in a minute
Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.
While you respond to that, I recommend you uninstall the audio driver from device manager and then download and install it from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.
https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
Here is how it is done.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

I just bought an Omen 17 from a friend who upgraded and so am updating all firmware before re-installing a fresh OS (so don't care if filesystem gets wiped out). I was finally able to update the system BIOS and now would like to update the 512GB Samsung 951 SSD firmware (rev BXV72HOQ from 2006)
HP's support site does not have a newer release though there is at least BXV77DOQ mentioned on the web and Samsung has fixed a large # of performance / reliability issues over the last 2 years. Samsung Magition does not work with OEM drives and I haven't found an alternative method to flash the consumer firmware
How can I get a later version (install complexity doesn't concern me)?
try using this driver

good luck
Although I have solved the problem myself, thank you all who took the time to help !!!
