Thanks. Well it looks like I'll have to do a recovery then.

Before I do that, I've decided to upgrade the SSD to a 500gb nvme card.

How can I clone the existing 128gb SSD with windows 10 and the recovery drive, onto a HDD (Which I'll swap with my existing data drive), then have the laptop boot from the HDD, then insert the new 500gb nvme, then get windows 10 + recovery back on the SSD, I'll then recover from there.

Please advise

Need help with steps:

Clone win 10 from ssd to hdd

Clone hdd back to new 500gb ssd

For my HP Envy x360 15z bq100-cto with Ryzen 5 2500U

 

F.19 firmware with forced install Adrenalin 18.5.1 (with Vari Bright disabled) works fine. Fix native resolution problem not an issue with this driver

I use DDU  cleanup tool.

 

Programs tested

Doom 2016 Vulkan

Divinity Original Sin 2 DirectX11

 

Steps 

1. Use DDU  cleanup tool.

2. Force driver install via device manager

3. Search and install CCC2_install.exe

4. Search and install  VulkanRT.exe

I was able to force install the dec 6 2018 driver and it does work well so far. I cannot find a way to install the Radeon settings or control panel.....

For manual control panel install, search for ccc2_install.exe

Hello together,

 

I believe that the EEPROM is defective. I was able to install Windows 10 and was very pleased about it. 

 

The information such as serial number, model name, etc. are not saved. Therefore, the error appears in system booting.

Is there another way to store the information on the EEPROM?

 

Is it possible to buy an EPROM for my notebook?

Bang & Olufsen microphone tab won't go away

I am having a problem with the B&O microphone tab. I just cannot get it to go away. To clear up exactly what I am talking about, it is this tab:

 Which looks like this when you click it to expand:

It has always been one of the major annoyances from this notebook as it insists on being ordered in front of everything else. This was previously only a problem when I was on discord or skype but it is now an ever present feature. It lies infront of my browser tabs, as you can see, and makes the whole web browsing experience tiresome (thanks HP). 

 

How can I disable this tab altogether? I would be happy if I could never see it again

why does my laptop say 'plugged in but not charging' after every shut down?

Every time my laptop is shut down and re-started, it doesn't charge. I have to go in and uninstall battery drivers and restart the laptop. EVERY DAY....???? One in an onging catalogue of issues with this laptop. Any explanations out there?

No, I did go through control panel. My screenshot is of the same mouse properties window that you posted. Here's my control panel for your reference. I clicked Mouse, and the earlier screenshot is what shows up.

Invoke the device manager with a windows key + X key. Select and click on device manager

Hi silly question time.    baught a new laptop in the Black friday sale from HP store, added the extra warranty for 3 years.     Has Mcafee Live Safe on it.   Is this a trial version or should it last a year.  As it says I only have 14 days left.    laptop is Hp Pavilion X360 Cd1000NA.  Thanks

What a useless reply.

Why on earth do you have to reboot windows to update

Something this complicated scares the hell out of me, all I want is to create the space to upddate but the stupid computer insists on using the main hard drive despite rthe fact there is 2 tb of space avaiable on external drives.

Why are HP produc ts so useless, this one was a gift but so far it is worse than a hangnail

Is it not possible to get the computer to accept the spare 2Tb drive. I have tried all the suggestions but come up defeated everytime. 

HP never again for me.

Scanner and webcam not working - please help!!!

Hi all, the problem with my laptop is twofold. I'll provide some details first though - the laptop is an HP Stream Notebook PC 11, the model is 11-d062na and I bought it second hand in 2016.

 

The first problem is that I'm no longer able to scan on the laptop. Before, it used to scan stuff fine using a Canon MP250 series printer plugged in via a USB port. But when I try to scan now, it just says "No scanners detected" even if the printer is plugged in to it.  I have checked Device Manager to try and find the driver but it's not there, and the Imaging devices tab isn't there either.

 

The second problem is a lot like the first. When I open the Camera app on my Notebook, it says "Connect a camera". The webcam is in built and has worked perfectly before, but now it doesn't. Again, I checked for the driver in Device Manager but it's not there and neither is the Imaging devices tab.

 

I have tried resetting my laptop and tried installing new drivers for both of these but they don't seem to work. Maybe I deleted something that caused the webcam and scanner to malfunction? I don't know, but it's been very frustrating dealing with this issue over the past couple of days and I'd really appreciate any help.
