Good Luck
I too have an identical problem. My pc is a pavilion 17-g101dx and its bios is currently F.52. From the support site, it recommends F-84 Rev A which contains images for boards 80A0, 80A9, 809B, and 8092. But there is no 8094.
Please please send me the bios update for board 8094. Thanks
So my mom bought in Walmart a HP Stream Notebook for me the last month (29 of August) thanks to my birthday, knowing that I like computers because I truly love Graphic Design. The thing is that she does not like computers, therefore, she does not know nothing about them. The programs that I need to complete my usual tasks are kind of heavy for the laptop that I am using, which has 4GB in ram, and only 32GB in internal memory. The computer is working more than fine, but as I said, the programs that I use to create my Illustrations and graphics are heavy and 4GB in ram and 32GB in internal memory just won't do it at all. My birthday was a couple of days ago, and when I found out that the computer had not enough space, I decided to return it and with the money that I would get of it, buy another HP with, of course, more space. So the problem comes here; when I went to Walmart to return my laptop, they told me that I could just return it in the first 15 days after I buy it, which made for me totally imposible for return it. Is there a posibility that I could return it to HP so they would give me back my money so I can buy another HP with the space and ram that I need? And if so, what can I do, and how can I do it?
Hello
Unfortunately HP only honors the warranty of the product.
You would have to go to the store the purchase was made from, to see about a return.
Since as you already pointed out, Walmart's return policy is past due for the product. Therefore, there is nothing either can do.
The only thing I could suggest is possibly selling it online like eBay, to try to recover as much as you can towards another purchase.
When the day comes that you're ready to buy another PC, feel free to come back and ask questions "before" you buy.
I'll be glad to answer whatever I can.
Good luck.
I'm at my wit's end here, hopefully someone can help.
I have a Pavilion dv6, at the begining of the month I accidentally put it into 'hibernate' mode instead of shutting it down. When I booted it back up the built-in keyboard was losing its mind (typing and deleting and such) so I just restarted it but the problem persisted. Plugged in a USB keyboard and that worked well enough to login but then I was fighting with the keyboard to do anything, I'm not sure how relevant the particulars of this are but I wound up pulling the built-in keyboard out, reset all the drivers, but when I put the keyboard back in it kept adding in hyphens and typing -qerwiuPO (which a quick googling led me to believe there was a hardware issue). Ordered a new keyboard but left the old one detached--but left the laptop on with a chat window open just to make sure it wasn't doing anything weird, and it did, it typed, and sent, variations of "-qerwiuPO" even with no keyboard and no input attached (for example it would also write just "PO" "wiu" "------" etc.)
Got the new keyboard, installed it, it worked flawlessly for a few days and now, suddenly, when I type the letters "q", "w", "e", "r", "u", "i", "o", and "p" it automatically inserts hyphens in front of each letter. So if I write "working hard" on it right now it returns "-w-o-rk-ng ha-rd". Unless I hold down 'shift' in which case it types normally, with no hyphens.
I've tried reseting the drivers again, I've tried reseting the BIOS, I've installed a newer BIOS, I've scanned for viruses, I've changed the Keyboard and Languages settings, I've tried changing the repeat delay and repeat rate. I can't restore to a point before this whole sorry mess happened because I forgot that system resotres existed until it was too late.
I can only assume it's a software issue because the hardware is new. I just really hope there's a fix that isn't reinstalling the OS. Help?
Hi,
For the USB drivers you need to install the AMD chipset drivers. Go to the link below and in the Window click on "Optional downloads". Download and install the AMD chipset drivers 17.30.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/apu?os=Windows+7+-+64
For the card reader go to link below and install the first in the list "Card reader driver for XP,Vista,Win7,Win10"
Hope it helps,
David

Thank you Paul_Takkanen it worked for me
You're very welcome.
Still doesn't work. Did it three times!!!
Glad to hear from you.
May I know how long did the hard drive test run? There should be a short test which finishes in a few minutes and an extensive test which might take upto 2 hours.
Secondly, I see that there is no BIOS update available for this laptop for Windows 10. This laptop originally came with Win8 and therefore there is a BIOS update that can be performed on Win8 platform.
You might want to perform a BIOS defaults though. The following steps will help:
Good luck!
So, on the 11th of September, last monday, I ordered this laptop from hp online, and the same day it got declined. They told me i would get a refund in 3-5 business, and its been nearly 2 weeks now, still no refund!!!!! Every time I call them they just keep saying 3-5 business days and I'm tired of this right now. I really need my refund so I can buy my laptop, and it has been 2 weeks!!!! My friend told me about the after-sales service of hp, but I didn't expect it to be this bad.
i downloaded firmware update application driver from hp website but in its time to update it says the drive is not supported by this application.
i want to upgarde the hdd firmware it makes audible clicking noise. first before formatting the window i it makes noise but after update firmware it solved now it reappeared and now this driver not supporting hp has updated its driver from site or deleted some driver as it have before.
i recently installed windows 7 64 bit, after i install it, all usb ports dosen't work mouse, flash disk, usb cable...etc
then when i check it at device manger i found that universal serial bus usb controller have a yellow triangle and driver of it dosen't seem install how i can install it or where i can found the driver of it, please anyone help me, thanks.
On my HP EliteBook Folio 9470m Notebook PC, I would like to swap the behavior of my function keys to prioritize media (action) functions over FN functions. Example: would like "f7" to default to "increase volume" without pressing the "fn" key combo.
I can find lots of info on how to change this in the BIOS for a variety of HP laptops, but none of these instructions match to the BIOS on my Elitebook Folio 9470m. Within my BIOS there is no setting for Action Keys under System Configurations, and my BIOS has been updated to the latest version.
Please advise.

Thank you, Prof., my update. I ended up formatting and restoring my Drive C: with drive D: EMO backup. That was the easy part, now the job begins. I guess there is no easy way to correct errors, I sure tried. Of course, I saved everything prior. Thanks again.
