upon being notified by the hp assistant application i upgraded my bios when asked if i wanted to install this new update to upgrade my bios from the original shipping bios on the machine to the new version F.16 . A day or so after the update i noticed my book bag had been unusually warm, when i got home I found that my laptop had not put it self to sleep like it nomally does when the lid is closed it appeared that the operating system initated sleep mode but the bios for some reason would not power down the machine as the screen was all black and unoperable until powercycled. I attempted to flash the shipping bios F.4 from the hp web site but the windows installer would not allow me to flash the bios to the f.4 version. i checked the hp website again where i found there was a f.13 bios version that windows would allow me to flash back but the power management issue still existed. I fount that the bios could be flash from the flash drive at boot up but the instructions to flash the bios from the flash instructed me to copy a *.bin and *.rsa files to the flash drive. The bios for .f4 had only contined a 01651.fd file. the f.13 bios file contain both the bin and rsa file and did flash from the flash drive. The f4 bios would not. is there somewhere where i can get a flashable 01651.bin and 01651.rsa files so i can restore the sleep and shutdown functions to my machine. Thanks in advance any information that can get me going.
