I've been shipped the notebook HP Envy 15 j-022el operating in Windows 8 one week ago. When I first turned it on it was all fine. Like all notebooks running with Windows 8 I proceeded filling in the information about my account and personalization. I then turned it off regularly with the Windows 8 button. It all went fine. I then turned it on again after one week of it being sleeping ( I've been away for work). When I turned it on the second time I connected it to wifi. I don't know what happened while doing so but now every time I try to turn it off by pressing the Windows 8 button it never turns off. Better saying it turns off completely and then after approximately 2 seconds turns on again alone. I tried calling the HP service which suggested me to reinitiate the notebook. I did so, then again filled in the starting information for Windows 8. Same problem occurred. I can't seem to turn the computer off, if not by pressing the phisical on/off button on top of the notebook.
Any clue of what this could be? Could it be related to some hardware failure?
I'm very concerned as it's a brand new notebook for which I've paid tons of Euros. Do I need to consider turning it back and taking money back in my pocket or is it something which might be solved easily?
