When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and product number of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq makes thousands of models of computers. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue.

The above requested information can be found on the bottom of your computer, inside the battery compartment, or on the BIOS setup screen. Please DO NOT include your serial number. Enter the model/product information into HP's Online Consumer Support page and post it here for our review.

If "F11" doesn't work and you can still boot into Windows 7, please try marking the HP Recovery partition as "active" in the Windows Disk Management Console. When you reboot your computer, the HP recovery process should begin. This should return the computer to a factory like state. If the above method doesn't work, you will need to contact HP or a third party vendor to purchase a set of HP Recovery Discs for your computer.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Please click the white KUDOS star to show your appreciation
