When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and/or product number of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq makes thousands of models of computers that are all different. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue
Your hard drive has failed or is about to fail and needs to be replaced. Stop using the hard drive immediately to avoid any further deterioration or damage to the data on the drive. Once you have removed the hard drive from your laptop and placed it in an external enclosure, you may attempt to recover your data. You may or may not succeed in retrieving everything you wanted.
