I also faced the same problem few days before. I don't know the reason of this problem. But I have got the solution of the problem. My laptop was extended with memory some times after the purchase. Everytime whenever I reset bios to default, the display is lost. My engineer friend gave me the solution. Open it up and reach to the the RAM sticks, remove the sticks (if more than one, as in my case). Leave the original or one RAM stick implanted, power on the notebook. It started with normal display every single time. Shut it down, add another RAM stick. and restart.
You may adopted similar approach.
