It is something to do with Windows 10 updates. Its name is WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) something. You can hide it using the follosing steps
- - Open a "Command Prompt (Admin)" window
- - Issue the command: mountvol Z:\ /D

Unfortunately, I don't know what you have to do about that.
Did you look in the control panel for the scroll pad settings?
On my HP 350 G1 notebook, there is a Synaptics Luxpad control (change the control panel view to large icons).
I had to check the scrolling option in order to be able to scroll.
It was off by default.
That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

Hi:
HP never had any W10 drivers on your notebook's support page, because HP does not support the j000 model series for W10.
However, you should be able to use the W10 drivers from the 15t-j100 on your model, except the BIOS and firmware files.

See if the driver directly from Synaptics works for you instead.
If that doesn't work, unfortunately, I won't be able to help you any further with this problem.
Windows 8/7/XP/Vista 64/32-bit Edition v17.0.19 -- 3rd one on the list.
It is a zip file so you will have to download, unzip the file and double click to run the setup application to install the driver.

Hey, thanks for your answer, but that's not true:
I was able to select win 10 from the support page menu and download drivers until win 10 anniversary was released.
Now, the menu in support page doesn't contain win 10 option anymore.
I repeat: HP removed win 10 drivers.
Why?

We will have to agree to disagree, because I have never seen W10 drivers for the j000 model series--just the j100 series.
This is a peer to peer forum. HP maintains no official presence here, so no one here will be able to tell you why.

Computer Won't Turn On. Need to access files.
